June 5, 2026!! Closing Day! Dad, Mom, Scott, and I headed up North for the Closing, completing the process. First stop was the new property to complete a walk-trhough and check things out. As we got close to the property, turned down Lake Road, and a Bear crossed the road in front of us, going into the pines at Crabby Acres. We continued down Lake Rd, turning on Lake Dr, and got to the new property. We spent time at the new property checking out the property, garage, and house. From there we headed to Eau Claire for the closing. Scott and I signed the paperwork and the new property was offically ours. Lake Front Property with a house and garage is now part of Crabby Acres (Half Mile Apart).
We made arrangements with the previous owners. They are a younger couple, with a baby, just getting started, planning to move closer to family, and in the process of purchasing another house. As they complete the process and continue their journey, we offered to rent the house to them until mid July. This will give them time for their own closing. They won’t have to rent a different place for a little over a month, hopefully making the process, transition, and their move easier/smoother. We closed June 5, 2026, renting the property to the previous owners for 1.5 months, and we will move in on July 15, 2026. This will give us time to make plans, work on transitioning the utilities, setup any additional services we may want/need, purchase items we need/want for the new property, and overall prepare for the move, setup, and being our new chapter with the expansion of Crabby Acres.
